Printing Specifications for Compact Discs

• For each colour (if printed with spot colours) there should be one file, clearly identified with colour required (pms reference).
• For offset printing there should be 1 file in cmyk. Please indicate if white base is required.
• Printable image area between 17mm centre hole and 117mm outer ring only (see diagram above).
• Some artwork can be affected by stacking ring between 32mm and 37mm diameter.
• A screen ruling 85 lines/inch (34 lines/cm) is required with an elliptical dot pattern depending on the type of image.
• Minimum line width is 1.0 mm in positive print.
• Minimum line width is 1.5 mm in reverse print.
• Minimum letter size is 7 pt.
• Minimum letter size in reverse print is 8 pt.
• Colours printed on discs may vary from paper printing colours as given in the Pantone matching system.
• Colours may not reproduce accurately when over printed.
• Print located in the region 37mm to 47mm may vary in colour due to mirror band.

• The prefered format is pdf files for all pages including disc.
